There’s two things that always travel with us in our trailer: our motorcycles and our golf clubs. We love to call Old Hickory Country Club our home course. “The Hick” really is the spot to be in Nashville. In the morning you’ll see Kathleen Madigan tee it up, in the afternoon you’ll see all the songwriters hit the 1st tee after they’re done writing for the day. And a lot days, you’ll find us having a drink with Hick member patio-frequenter and friend, John Daly. We’ve followed a lot of John’s advice to help our games. We’re both former athletes, so we try to take our times from the field to the course. John is also a great supporter of the troops.
We’re particularly proud to be a part of annual charity event at The Hick for the Special Operators Transition Foundation. It raises hundreds of thousands of dollars each year for their programs, and helps bring retiring special forces veterans into the corporate world with high-paying and great-fitting jobs. There’s a lot of great golf supporting veterans initiatives all across the country. We particularly love all the work PXG and Bob Parsons are doing to make the game accessible to veterans.
Thank you for the feature this month, Golf Central Magazine!
