War Hippies Gives
In 2023, we launched War Hippies Gives to help kids secure access to musical instruments and programs in their schools.
We partnered with Sweetwater, the largest music retailer in the world, and Connolly Music, the manufacturer of Donnie's violins for Sweetwater. Through this very unique partnership and the support of various non-profits (Sing Out Loud, pictured above), grants are given to school districts in need to get instruments at or below cost along with other long-term supportive benefits so that kids can be afforded the opportunity to learn music and have access to instruments.
Donnie explains, "If I was not given the opportunity to play violin growing up, I certainly would not be where I am today. We are thrilled to be partnering with Sweetwater to provide instruments to children who lack access, giving them what we were fortunate enough to have as kids, the gift of music."

Shepherd's Men and the SHARE Military Initiative at Shepherd Center
shepherdsmen.comSHARE Military Initiative: A Path to Healing and Support
Shepherd’s Men is the primary fundraising mechanism for the SHARE Military Initiative (SHARE) at Shepherd Center. SHARE is designed to provide hope, healing and recovery for veterans, active-duty service members and, most recently, first responders grappling with traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Offered at no cost to those accepted into the program, this initiative ensures that financial barriers do not stand in the way of recovery. If you’re experiencing TBI symptoms, and PTSD or related mental health challenges, SHARE is here to offer dedicated support and care.
With virtually no government financial support, each veteran’s treatment through the program costs $30,000-$35,000. This is where your support is crucial. Since 2014, Shepherd’s Men has raised more than $6 million. Their goal is to cover SHARE’s annual clinical budget of $1.2 million and increase the number of clients who can be served and saved each year.
This program is especially close to our hearts as we know the life-saving care and impact it has first hand. Donnie Reis of War Hippies is grateful to have received treatment and graduated the program in 2024.

The Charlie Daniels Journey Home Project
TheJourneyHomeProject.orgRETURN REHABILITATE REINTEGRATE
The mission of The Charlie Daniels Journey Home Project is to help identify, support and implement the various needs of the men and women of America’s armed forces returning from service. We owe them an unpayable debt of gratitude.
After many years of service, and for some, multiple deployments, the journey home can be a complex process based on the issues of being away from family, friends, and home. Health, both physical and mental, education, and employment are just a few of the many issues both returning vets and families are faced with.
It is our passion to be a beacon of light to direct the veteran (and or family) in the best possible direction to facilitate these needs.
With many years of experience working with various foundations that provide this type of support, our goal is to identify the best of the best, to not only be good stewards of donated dollars, but to seek the best assistance available for our veterans. It is a critical mission that needs every American that enjoys the freedoms we share, to participate. They’ve earned it.

Creativets
creativets.orgCreatiVets’ mission is to empower wounded veterans to heal through the arts and music.
CreatiVets’ goal is to offer opportunities for relief and healing for the men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country. Our purpose is to use various forms of art, including songwriting, visual arts, music, and creative writing, to help disabled veterans cope with service-related trauma (i.e., post-traumatic stress, or PTS) by fostering self-expression in a way that allows them to transform their stories of trauma and struggle into an art form that can inspire and motivate continued healing. Through compassion, we are helping veterans live again.
